Design of Experiments@Southampton

University of Southampton
A central composite design

Research developments in design of experiments have traditionally been motivated by applications from areas such as agriculture, medicine and manufacturing. We have a strong track record of engagement with other areas of science and industry to address substantive problems of practical importance.

We have worked with external partners including:

Our work on screening and supersaturated designs for the pharmaceutical industry was a REF2014 impact case study.

In the recent past, we have organised industry workshops on design of experiments and industrial statistics at the Isaac Newton Institute for the Mathematical Sciences.

For further information on collaborative research, please contact Professor Dave Woods.

We also provide bespoke consultancy and continuing professional development courses, and in the past we have worked with a variety of organisations, both large and small. For further information, see the general University consultancy pages and contact Professor Dave Woods.
