Welcome to the EliCIT system which has been developed for the chemistry community as part of the Combechem project (EPSRC Grant GR/R67729) in order to facilitate knowledge gathering for the planning of chemistry experiments.
The purpose of EliCIT is to allow chemistry researchers to contribute scientific knowledge and previous experience about factors that might influence the responses measured in the experiment. As the researchers may be located in laboratories or companies around the world, the system uses a dynamic questionnaire to allow suggestions from one person to be immediately assessed and commented on by others. For each factor, the chemists. opinions and confidence in their judgement may be summarised in a simple way, which may be chosen by the experiment administrator, so that the information gathered can be used to inform and stimulate local discussions. An e-Learning module on the design and anlaysis of experiments, including a case study, is available here.
You are welcome to use the system and we would appreciate any feedback on the useability of the system, or extra features that might enhance its use.
